We spotted a rare find in the latest auction from Heritage Auctions, 25-26 JULY 2024 Hollywood/Entertainment Signature® Auction #7361, namely Irwin and Sheila Allen’s directors chairs. We remember seeing Irwin’s chair in their sitting room when visiting with Sheila in the 1990s. Sheila’s chair says “Mother” on the back, the role she played in the 1985 television movie Alice in Wonderland. The auction also features a couple of Alice in Wonderland items.
A number of Irwin Allen related collectibles feature in the 12-14 June 2024 Julien’s Auctions Hollywood Legends, Danger, Disaster & Disco Auction including the original 17 foot Seaview filming prop.

Up for sale on eBay is the original 32 inch UN Attack Submarine/Polidor filming miniature prop which appeared in both the movie and TV versions of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. The auction season hasn’t yet finished for 2023. Julien’s Auctions Hollywood Legends: Robots, Wizards, Heroes & Aliens Auction on 14-15 December 2023 features 5 Irwin Allen props and costumes including the original stunt B-9 Robot.
A very special lot (#330) comes up for auction at Julien’s Auctions on 6th September 2023 and that is the original “hero” Spindrift Miniature Prop from Land of the Giants which many of you may have seen on display at the Seattle Science Fiction Museum.

Aside from all the exceptional original artwork featured at the upcoming Heritage Auctions (HA.com) Irwin Allen Collection auction on 29th July 2023, the star of the show must surely be “The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen Robot” which is a precise replica of the original B-9 Robot. Recreated by Academy-nominated visual effects model builder Greg Jein from studio molds, with lighting, electronics and wiring installed by Ron Hamill, this exciting one-off creation will be the item to watch during the auction. These items include crew costumes from both Voyage and Giants and the giant screwdriver and Flying Sub miniature props.
The upcoming Profiles in History Hollywood Auction 62 on 21 December 2013 features a number of Irwin Allen items including an original Flying Sub miniature, the Polidor and Vulcan sub props, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea TV title art, a rare Will Robinson figure and several scripts.
