TECHNICAL CATALOG 2018/2019
HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT BOOT Risport skates are handcrafted and tested to guarantee the best performance and maximum comfort. This technical perfection originates from on-going technological innovation and attention to details so that the final product is a balanced combination of lightness and strength, modernity and elegance. Quality is an essential element for Risport. The whole process to achieve the definition of a new product passes through verification and checking phases both in our fully equipped laboratory and on the rinks.
We designed two different product lines: Royal and Rf. The different constructions allow us to satisfy the needs of all the skaters.
ROYAL CONSTRUCTION
RF CONSTRUCTION
ROYAL upper profile is created with a unique design that allows the skaters to have more range of motion during their performances while achieving an optimal degree of bending.
RF upper profile allows the skaters to have more powerful performance and bigger jumps.
ROYAL is designed with a CUT LINE that has a “BANANA” SHAPE without interruptions (fig 1). This series is meant for finesse skaters, athletes known for their skating skills.
RF line has a CUT LINE divided in two parts which wraps the ankle and supports forward bending. (fig 1).
The padded collar has a U SHAPE (fig 4) that doesn’t completely wrap the ankle (fig 3). Thanks to this the boot has 360 degrees responsiveness (fig 2).
The padded collar has a V SHAPE (fig 4) that completely wraps the ankle (fig 3) helping the skater with explosive jumps and soft landings (fig 2).

LEATHER UPPER AND MICROFIBER UPPER LEATHER UPPER
The leather used for the uppers of our boots is personally selected by us; this allows us to give our products an added value. Respecting Risport tradition means that our uppers are 100% handcrafted.
The use of leather ensures a high degree of comfort, durability and great performance level.
MICROFIBER UPPER
The microfiber used for the uppers of our boots is the result of the collaboration of our technicians and our suppliers. By combining thin polymer fibers and special process, this material assumes characteristics similar to those of genuine leather.
Microfiber combines extraordinary lightness with technical properties such as abrasion resistance, tensile strength and is highly breathable.

LEATHER VS THERMOPLASTIC SOLE LEATHER SOLE
THERMOPLASTIC WITH LEATHER SOLE
Our leather sole is composed of 4 mm of leather. Inside of the heel, there is an insert of ultra lightweight thermoplastic material in order to reduce the weight.
This sole is made of thermoplastic material to reduce weight, the heel is made with ultra light thermoplastic material with a leather cover.
Through the use of natural materials the single layer sole gives the skater more control of their movements during the performance and cushions the energy of the landing.
The thermoplastic material reduces the vibrations during the skating and increases the accuracy of blade mounting. Thanks to this, the skater has increased stability.

FIT TOPERFORM The foot has always been the main focus in Risport skate engineering. The best fit of all fits is our top priority. Thanks to a 3D scanner, Risport performs an accurate analysis of the morphology of the foot and adapts the fit of its skates to the specific needs of consumers. Risport’s “AA”, “B” and “C” fits have long become a legend for thousands of professional skaters and skating enthusiasts. Added to the above as the evolution of fit “C”, “Comfort” is the result of a 3D analysis and features the same width as its predecessor but an increased volume in the forefoot area. “Comfort” guarantees the highest amount of foot support, which helps keep the quality of performance unchanged for a long time. WIDTH CHART Comfort More forefoot volume AA

D Wide

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WIDTH
The width is important, measure it in the larger point of your foot, in the straight position with the foot slightly relieved. Then compare your width with the chart below. For example if you usually wear size 240 and your width is 21,5 cm you will choose AA.
Yuo should measure the width in the larger point of your foot, in the straight position with the foot slightly relieved.

CUSTOM MY RISPORT Don’t forget that our boots are heat moldable. To achieve a higher level of fit customization, Risport has developed a customization project to enable everyone to custom fit their Risport boots. All the skates manufactured by Risport are heat moldable: thanks to the “Custom My Risport Bag” skaters can warm up their boots homogenously and obtain genuine customization to the shape of their feet!

COLLECTION 2017/2018
CUSTOM MY RISPORT PROCESS: 1 • Choice of the boot and identification of critical points 2 • Thermo molding 3 • Thermo molding analysis
YOU WILL NEED
• Tray the boot on and evaluate if the size of the boot is correct. If not, change the boot. If is the right size, but you just feel pain in some points, lace up the boot and spot the points of pressure by making simple exercises such as lateral movements, bending, little steps.
• Unlace the boot and take the foot off the boot, put it in the Risport Custom Bag, and pull the zip up.
• Insert the pipe into the boot and pull the cords of the bag tight.
• Plug the hair dryer in (verify if the Voltage of the hair dryer is aligned with the electric system) and warm the boot. (No more than 70° C) Turn off the air dryer 10 minutes. *THE HAIR DRYER SHOULD ALSO COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE REGULATIONS.
10 min
• Take off the pipe and the hair dryer, then unzip the bag and take off the boot.
• Verify the temperature of the lining is not too high. If the temperature is high, then wait some minutes till the lining feels just warm.
70°C
• If the temperature is just warm, then wear the boot. • Lace the boot up (average lacing: not too tight nor loose),
REMEMBER
If some pressure point are still present take the boot off and start the process again. (Verify first that the boot are at natural temperature. Wait till the boot come back to normal temperature. Avoid strong movements while the boot is warm. Check the level of comfort by making simple exercises such as lateral movements, edging, little steps. The boot will custom fit to your foot and you are ready to skate. COLLECTION 2017/2018

HOW CARE OF THE BLADE Is highly recommended to take care of the blades. Their condition may affects your performance.
The most important thing a skater must do is make sure that the blades are wiped down and completely dry after using it. If they do not do this it can lead to rusting.
When the blade is completely dry, use skate guards! Make sure your blade guards are in good condition, and replace them when necessary.
CORRECT USE with blade guards
REMEMBER
1
Do not walk around the rink on their blades without guards. It is very easy to chip or scratch the blades if they step on something
WRONG USE
3 2
WRONG USE
Do not use the blade guards when the blades are wet or dirty
The skater should not be required to use anything to clean the blade. As long as the blade is completely dry their shouldn’t be any issues. WRONG USE
Risport skateguard
When it’s time to store blades in your skate bag, put them in the fabric skate guards, this will help you to prevent rust formation and protect the blade while inside your bag.

HOW TO CARE OF THE BOOTS Is highly recommended to clean regularly the upper of your boots to make them last longer and you just need to follow few steps.
1 After training unlace your boots, with the tongue well loosen, in order to let them dry.
2 Wipe boots down inside and out because dirt and bacteria ruin the leather and could cause mold.
3 In order to prevent and cover scratches on the upper. Take care of it using Risport cream.
4 Apply it with the special sponge on the interested area.
5 Spread the cream with a cloth. Store your boots in the proper skatebag without sharp objects.

* Those indicated above are indicative measures, we always recommend you to try the boots first. Quelle indicate qui sopra sono misure indicative, consigliamo sempre di provare prima il pattino. ** If your width is between two numbers in the table above , we recommend you to choose the smaller one (eg: if your foot width is 19,6 cm, consider 19,55 cm). Se la tua larghezza è compresa tra due numeri della tabella, consigliamo di scegliere la larghezza inferiore (es: se la larghezza del tuo piede è di 19,6 cm, considera 19,55 cm). *** Remember to wear socks when you measure your foot. Ricordiamo di indossare il calzino durante le misurazioni del piede.
