MESSAGE Acting Vice President
This is going to be the last quarter of my term as the Acting Vice President and I must add that it has been a quite a challenging past few quarters with the General Committee members having to put in extra effort and time to resolve those pressing issues. Nevertheless, it ended well and we should all look forward to a fresh start in 2017. However, I would like to take this opportunity to urge all members to adopt a camaraderie attitude in the club so that there is harmony and happiness amongst members, office bearers as well as the management and staff. That's the whole aim of clubbing in the first place! Whilst the management and staff are hired for some specific tasks, the General Committee members are elected by the members to oversee the running of the club. They are not paid any salaries for their effort, time, knowledge and experiences contributed to the management of the club. It was only their passion‐to‐serve attitude and the only reward they are looking for is self satisfaction and perhaps an acknowledgement by the members for their effort and if I may say, their personal sacrifices. By this same token, I do sincerely hope that we members close ranks and give our wholehearted support and encouragement to the next General Committee which I am certain will be led by members who are passionate about the club and who will be making personal sacrifices to make KRPM a "home" where we can come and socialise, make new friends and enjoy the facilities in a friendly atmosphere. We are now in the 1st quarter of 2017 and many of the planned activities according to our 2016 Calendar were carried out successfully. As the Chairman for F&B Sub Committee, I am indeed extremely delighted and wish to thank all members and staff for their support and constructive comments, leading up to winning our Top 3 Best F&B Golfers Terrace in Malaysia Award 2016. We have also received many positive feedbacks for the month‐long 2016 Rasa‐Rasa Berbuka Puasa festival and we are planning to repeat that come this Ramadan in May/June 2017. You will be delighted once again with Chef Rosmadi's culinary skills. Lastly, I'd like to wish all members who celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year, Gong Xi Fa Cai and may this Year of The Rooster brings peace, happiness and success to you and your loved ones. To all members, I wish you all the very best in life for the coming years. As for me, I will be going more to the Driving Range so that I can avoid winning the "Wooden Spoon" again in 2017.
