Hello, dear friends! Memorial Day is just around the corner, on May 29th. Isn’t that hard to believe? I wanted to share a few decor ideas that are perfect for Memorial Day, all the way through the Fourth of July and the rest of Summer!
Red, white, and blue are perfect colors for summer decor because they evoke a sense of patriotism, celebration, and joy. These colors are not only the hallmark of Memorial Day and the Fourth of July, but they also represent the vibrant energy and spirit of the season. The timeless appeal of red, white, and blue makes them a popular choice for summer decor, creating a visual harmony that elevates the season’s ambiance. As with any holiday, decorating for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July provides a joyful, celebratory atmosphere all around the house.
While incorporating these colors is easy by adding flags and other patriotic symbols, it can also be done through less obvious decor as well. You can add red, white, and blue through flowers, flower pots, blankets, pillows, and even carpets. Adding these pops of color portray the concept we all know and love just by incorporating refreshing shades for Summer!
Baked goods, charcuterie boards, and other snack plates are the perfect way to present red white and blue. A few of my summer favorites to tie in these colors include watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and even yogurts or icings! Fruit is the perfect snack for summer, and is also the perfect color to throw together an adorable snack for your Memorial Day party!
Incorporating personal belongings from yourself or a loved one is a beautiful and unique way to express gratitude and honor those who have served. Memorial Day provides us with an opportunity to reflect, appreciate, and cherish the memories of those who have fought for our country.
As the summer season unfolds, I find so much joy in taking the time to remember and extend my gratitude! By incorporating personal mementos and keepsakes into our decor, we create a heartfelt tribute that serves as a constant reminder of their sacrifice.
Adding flags into everyday decor is one of the easiest (and timeless) ways to decorate for Memorial Day. These are a great way to share our thanks, and pull out the colors of patriotic decor all around the house!
