The clasp area of the necklace typically undergoes the most stress, so incorporating French wire is a great way to extend the life of your beaded jewelry! It also creates a professional, minimalist look that blends seamlessly with gold metal findings. 

Tips for using French wire in beaded jewelry:

French wire comes in different diameters, usually between 0.5-1.0mm. I find that I use 0.7mm the most but that’s because I use a thinner thread. If you are using a thicker cord, you will need to choose a bigger diameter.
