You can wear this top with nice trousers to dinner and look very chic, no one will know it’s a sarong / pareo . You can use a scarf for this as well. * Hang the sarong over your necklace, about half way , make sure the necklace is strong enough to handle the weight of the sarong ( you can also use a string or a thin ribbon if you don’t want to use a necklace).
