Ètnografi

Etnografi (Yunani ἔθνος ethnos = rakyat , γραφία graphia = tulisan, seratan) inggih punika strategi panelitian èlmiah ingkang sok diginakaken ing èlmu sosial, kaya ta antropologi sarta èlmu sosiologi^[1], uga dikenal kondhang dadi péranganing èlmu sajarah ingkang nyinaoni babagab masarakat, kelompok ètnis lan formasi ètnis sanèsipun, etnogenesis, komposisi, perpindahan papan tinggal, karakteristik kesejahteraan sosial, uga budaya material kaliyan spiritual^[2]

Etnografi kèrép diterapaké kanggo ngumpulna data empiris kang temané masarakat lan budaya manungsa. Pangumpulan data racaké di jupuk saka pangamatan partisipan, wawancara, kuesioner, dll. Ilmu iki duwé tujuan kanggo njelasake kaanan masarakat ingkang disinau (kaya ta kanggo njelasake sawijining manungsa, sijining ethnos) sangka karya tulisan.^[3] ing ngèlmu biologi, jinis studi iki diarani "studi lapangan" utawa "laporan kasus", kerone minangka sinonim umum kanggo "étnografi".^[4]
