Mutual aid response to Orange County fire

Orange County — Multiple fire departments responded to a fire Wednesday afternoon on private property near East Claire Drive and Terry Road in Orange County, close to FM 1442.

The Texas Forest Service says the fire that was reported at 3 p.m. Wednesday covered 15 acres. As of Thursday morning, it was 95% contained. There are no reports of any injuries.

It resulted in more than 400 Entergy customers losing power. The Entergy outage map indicates all power is now restored.
