Snow Chances?

There has been much talk of more winter weather in Alabama next week. This includes well-designed snow maps on the World Wide Web, some of which are pretty humorous. From a light dusting to 6 feet of snow, all from not-so-reliable sources.

Current models show the probability of one inch of snow or greater through January 26, depending on the location in Alabama. The northern tier of Alabama is running at 40%, while our area in West Alabama ranges between 20% and 30%.

“Global models continue to occasionally suggest some potential for wintry precipitation across parts of Alabama around Tuesday/Wednesday (Jan 21-22), but consistency has not been good,” said Spann.

This is a developing weather situation, and the Townsquare Media Weather Center will keep you posted on any developments.
