Red Star Pt. 1 & 2

Red Star Pt. 1
Waking up in crimson glow
Vultures gathering on the ridge
Wondering what’s this place become
Shadows swallowing the sky
Arid dunes give way to jagged stone
Embers quivering in the mist
Burning flames dance across the sand
Blood and ashes on your lips
Sitting on an ivory throne
An iron hand glares down with lust
The fettered masses cry for gentle hands
Silence echoes from the sky
Red Star Pt. 2
Built with the backs of the destitute
The monolith stands wicked and red
Its cold black eyes gaze down shrouded in obsidian
Reaping the blood of the innocent
The obelisk demands a sacrifice
The times come for the shackled ones
To bring the tower, down down down
It’s getting late for the demagogues
Dispensing misery to the populous
Bellowing screams shout enough is enough
No more blood for the opulent
Damnation to the citadel
Nothing to lose but the weight of the chains
Burn the castle, down down down

Echo of a Waning Star
03:04
|
|
||
Here a star falls down
Drifting slowly to the ground
Calloused fingers stained with rust
Heavy with ash and dust
Evening sky looks down
Shadows crawling to the ground
Weary fingers worn to the bone
Harrowed by distant throne
Marching over the barren fields
Bound by shackles of iron and steel
No salvation for wandering eyes
Toiling on the line
Withering on the vine
Here a star falls down
Drifting slowly into the ground
Calloused fingers chained to the stone
Praying for morning sun

Gazing to the emanating light
Blinded by piercing crimson rays
Comets raining by penetrating night
Breaking through the darkening malaise
Haunting smell of sulfur in the air
Radiating through the crimson castle
Gamma rays of light, blistering and white
Shakes the granite chapel down to nothing
Echoes ringing as the tower comes down
Everything left has turned to dust
Scattering flashes through the dead of the night
A jubilant glow flows from your eye
Viridian rays align
Viridian rays align
Shades of violet creeping over the sky
Solar wind sweeps away the dust
Shattering anchors under crumbling stone
Beaming brightly from your eye
Viridian rays align
Viridian rays align

Dead Star
03:57
|
|
||
Under a darkening sky
A floundering albatross fluttering by
Sullen and closing its eye
Tumbling downward it falters and dies
Solemnly fading to stone
Dead star calling it home
Bound to a withering star
Burdened with anchors of feather and bone
Dimming and wilting to gray
Crumbling slowly and breaking away
Solemnly fading to stone
Dead star calling you home
Eager and green, you stripped everything
Cut to the bone, and left it to bleed
Drowning in dust, you’re standing alone
Wasting away, dying
Dead Star calling me home
