Bearjak or Bear Wojak refers to an exploitable image of a Wojak-style bear. Inspired by Shroomjak and the "I Made My Own Wojak" trend, the image has been used to recreate various Wojak comics with the purpose of parody.

Origin

On July 17th, 2021, Twitter[1] user @frogfares posted an image line art drawing of a bear with a Wojak face, writing "i made my own wojack" (sic), referencing the original 4chan Shroomjak post. The post received over 5,100 retweets and 39,200 likes in two days (tweet and image shown below).

Starting on the same day, the image gained popularity in memes, primarily on Twitter. On that day, Twitter[2] user @Pitt_dot_PNGuin posted the earliest known edit of the image, a Soyjak version that received 30 retweets and 1,200 likes (shown below, left). Twitter[3] user @EricAndAmerican posted a meme combining the image with an earlier Oomer Wojak meme about a missing hiker, with the post gaining over 600 retweets and 4,000 likes (shown below, center). Later on July 17th, Twitter[4] user @notorious__vex posted a version of the meme that added Fishjak, Shroomjak and a National Geographic logo to the image. The post received over 4,100 retweets and 23,400 likes (shown below, right).

Starting on July 18th, 2021, the image has been used to recreate various Wojak comics with the purpose of parody, similar to the use of Shroomjak. For example, on July 18th, 2021, Twitter[5] user @MintaReturns posted a parody of a Doomer Wojak comic that received over 80 retweets and 1,200 likes.
