Perna canaliculus est species marinorum molluscorum bivalvium familae Mytilidarum. Ei est maximum momentum ut species in Nova Zelandia culta.

Perna canaliculus in Nova Zelandia endemicus est.[1] Eius distributio geographica per omnia civitatis litora extenditur.[2] Hoc animal sub zona interaestuali plerumque habitat, sed eius distributio zonam ipsam comprehendere potest.[3] Id variis generibus phytoplanktone vescitur. In aquis Australianis pestis introductum est.[4]

Species pro aquacultura in Nova Zelandia culta nomine tabulato Greenshell venditur.[5] Industria aquaculturae Nova-Zelandica plus quam 140 000 tonnes? per annum producit, aestimatione anno 2009 plus quam NZ$250 milliones.[6][7][8][9]
