How and why the platform was created
Every learning platform starts with a simple idea – the desire to make knowledge more accessible. Learnool was created with the belief that education should be available to everyone, no matter where they are. What began as an idea has now taken shape, and step by step, this platform is growing into a place where learning is made simple and clear.
Learnool was inspired by well-established educational platforms like Wikipedia and Britannica. Their vast collections of knowledge across multiple subjects served as motivation, but the goal was never just to create a large website or write content for the sake of it. Education should be accessible to everyone, and expanding this platform with a wide range of topics ensures that more people can benefit from clear, structured learning resources.
The early stages
In February 2021, Deep launched learnool.com and personally created all the content, including text, media, and everything else. Since he had studied mechanical engineering, he started with physics topics like force, energy, gravity, and kinematic equations – subjects he was already familiar with. Writing wasn’t perfect in the beginning, but it was the first step in building something bigger.
Creating content was just one part of the journey. Without any technical background, he had to figure out how to set up a website, research topics, and structure content properly. He learned everything from scratch by watching videos and reading online. At first, the goal wasn’t to build a large platform like Wikipedia or Britannica but simply to share what he had learned. The idea of expanding came later, realizing that covering more topics would make knowledge accessible to more people.
Over time, he also saw the importance of presenting information clearly, not just writing it. High-quality content, proper formatting, and reliable sources became essential to creating a better learning experience. With that in mind, he continues to improve existing content and work toward making Learnool a trusted resource for learners everywhere.
Growth over time
Learnool has grown over time in both content and presentation. It started with physics since Deep had studied it in school, making it easier to explain. Later, he expanded into chemistry, planning to cover topics like the periodic table, chemical elements, and compounds. Writing about new subjects was difficult at first, but with practice and learning, he improved his research and writing skills.
The quality of content has also improved. In the beginning, articles were not well-organized, but over time, they were refined to make them clearer and easier to read. Inspired by websites like Wikipedia and Britannica, he focused on adding media, proper citations, and better formatting so users could understand and verify information more easily.
To make learning even better, video content was introduced and embedded within articles. A YouTube channel, Learnool, was launched to explain topics through videos. The platform also expanded to social media sites like Facebook and Instagram to reach more people. Growing without a budget is challenging, but the goal remains the same – to keep improving and making knowledge accessible to everyone.
