This is like a movie your neighbor made in their own house starring all your other neighbors if your neighbors were porn stars.
The sound is uneven, flat and accidentally muffled. You realize you’ve heard the background music before either because you’re a boomer or a late night horror flick lover. The lighting is verite except when some important object, a Costco muffin, a white coffee cup, or an old scary painting is spot lighted.

Watching this is like looking at a piece of plague art. The darkness of the human soul revealed only by the flames of the pits where the bodies are burning. It’s impossible to look away no matter what.
I’ve seen this many times and Bruno Ganz never fails to shock me.
