  Felt like this was made exclusively for me. So weird, outlandish, hilarious, dark, and violent as hell. Caiman and Nikaido are instantly lovable leads and the varied cast of villains and side characters are just as loveable. The 3D/2D hybrid animation style is really cool and distinct, and complements the wacky character designs and world really well. It fully embraces the insanity and weirdness of its concept and story and never lightens up, while still presenting an immensely engaging central storyline. This shit is absolutely bonkers man. Love it. On my knees absolutely praying that this gets a season 2 rn.

  - a sentient cockroach who plays baseball 

  Whats not to love other than the fact this one season isn’t enough to explain the craziness of Dorehedoro. Time to read the manga but easy top 10 anime

  Dorohedoro ist bunt, blutig, ein bodenloses Fass der Kreativität, die Charakter gewohnt und gewollt Überspitzt, eine Karikatur einer im Zwang stehenden Gesellschaft sich anzupassen und ihr Ausbrechen das auszuleben als Cosplay-Anime-Figur, singend in Karaoke- und guckend in Tabledance Bars, niedergezeichnet als Manga und auf Film und Serie gebannt als Anime wie hier, dafür lieben wie Japan und ihr Fluchtversuch aus der Realität.

  the first anime that has made all the characters likable to me. the villains are so badass and entertaining that i find myself rooting for them in a way. the blend of action, world building and comedy works very well. im currently forcing everyone i know to watch the anime because it really needs a second season
