can't wait to see Jokic documentary where he tries to get a visa for his serbian horses
This documentary is hands down the best one about an NBA player.
Yes, better than MJ's 'The Last Dance'.
I've heard many stories about NBA players before, but this one really got me the most. Giannis Antetokounmpo's story stood out to me and his life experiences are truly inspiring. He also became Thanos in here because of these poetic quotes.
Anyway, I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of Giannis, but I have always been a fan of his off-court personality. If I come across someone who dislikes this man, especially because of his personality, I'm going to assume they haven't seen this film. Was it background noise while I ate pizza and felt sorry for myself for being hungover? Yes. But I do like Giannis as a player and he definitely deserves a documentary, a very interesting individual and a current top 3 player in the NBA.
For such a basic, paint-by-numbers sports portrait this was surprisingly good. Giannis has the kind presence that’s magnetic and also kinda folksy; he’s very engaging and easy to root for.
“The difference between a coward and a hero… it’s how you deal with fear”
I was expected myself to cry while watching, I was surprised by how much I cried.
Inspiring is an understatement, for me it really touched on the essence of life. A mindset that will make you unbreakable and see life with more colour.
My mindset in life is “remember the feeling”, learn from how you felt in the past and remember it. You feel bad about yourself? Remember that feeling and use it as fuel to move forward. It’s all about taking yourself out of dark places and using the past as fuel to keep going forward. Giannis in this talks about fear and how…
