  Did you know they’re BRITISH? Just in case you didn’t know they were BRITISH from their BRITISH accents and the fact that the movie starts in BRITAIN, they mention tea, David Beckham, the Revolutionary War, rain, Buckingham Palace, and The Queen all in a span of 90 minutes to remind you that they’re BRITISH. You know, if you forgot. That they’re BRITISH. 
  Bonus points for nostalgia and a script that genuinely buys into the idea of power dynamics and discrimination on the basis of hair color. It’s endearing. Also shoutout to Brittany Curran for COMMITTING to this thing. She didn’t have to say “bottle-blonde bimbos” with such intensity but she did and she did it so ten-year-old me could have someone to hate. Respect.
