  That's what the last decade has been missing from Philippine cinema. The genre of philosopher-sex worker. And it really left a void.

  This was THE mtrcb issue of my day. X ratings, morality, separation of church and state, taste, art and even resignations. So finally seeing this film, i felt deflated as the movie is kind of a let down artistically.

  Which to me is the significant point; artistic freedoms and right to express are not just for those we judge as "art" or "great work" or a "masterpiece". It should be applied to all kinds of work even those we find lacking.

  This is much more a love letter to settling. All those who are trying to make something…

  Onting appreciation lang sa isang pelikulang siguro mas nakilala lang natin dahil dun sa naging viral na murahan ni Ana Capri at Klaudia Koronel tsaka historically bilang isa sa mga kontrobersyal na dumaan sa MTRCB at umabot pa sa pagkaayaw ni dating pangulong GMA na ipalabas ito.

  Pero sabogicles man nang panuorin ko toh, may tendencies man si felm na ilugmok masyado ang mga karakter niyang maralita, lumpen, puta sa isang istiryotipikal na dalamhating maaasahan mo sa teleserye... may mahihita ka ding isang bagay na 'di mo na nasesense sa mga lokal na pelikula ngayon - pakikiisa sa mga maralita, sa mga lumpen.

  "Puta ka" uttered repeatedly that it's easy to see why these people might think that that is all there is to them. A downer of a film where dreams are continuously crushed, disappointment is the norm, and even death is unattainable.
