Obviously touchy material delivered with a straightforward, process-driven approach that zeroes in on the actual sorting of information, deciding when and how to broadcast it, and what responsibility those who make these calls are left with when the night’s program is over and they have to wake up and do it all again the next day. A movie for sad, horny, aging weirdos who have spent plenty of nights high with nothing but their record collection to keep them company. Nobody makes films about longing and loneliness quite like Luca. Guess I get why people don’t like it, yet it’s so specifically tuned to my frequency that I was an absolute mess by the time the credits rolled.
