  With Kurt Russell, Breakdown is a well-written, intense, and concentrated film. The mood is mature, serious, and focused, and the protagonist is physically and emotionally lost. The second half makes good use of the film's restrained style. Basil Poledouris is having fun and flaunting his fanboy service, even if the action film is located in a desert, which makes it picturesque. The genre-driven film is entertaining despite its heavy favouritism towards Kurt Russell and its sometimes exhausting twists and cuts.

  The character development was good. And I liked the clash of ideologies. First half was very good. The movie isn't about the fights, It's about his development from understanding the true essence of being a police. And changing his methodology. If it was any other movie they would have brushed it aside. But in this one it was very essential to his growth. But I do like how they put out what the teacher Saranya was doing in the earlier parts of the movie and then linking it in the later part
