The content is arranged by topic in Practice Centers and Intelligence Centers, and by practitioner tools, such as chart builders, tracking alerts, and other current awareness tools. It provides access to docket information at the federal and state court levels, and to news and business sources in law-related fields. Only members of the University of Iowa College of Law community may establish personal passwords to Bloomberg Law.

Westlaw is a comprehensive full-text database that offers a wide range of law-related resources, including primary and secondary legal sources. Only members of the University of Iowa College of Law community may establish personal passwords to Westlaw. Please see the Law Library's Reference Department for access. College of Law students have access to 180-hours of usage per month. Be sure to log out of your account at the end of each session to prevent hours from being used while you are inactive. If you reach your limit for the month unexpectedly, Westlaw might accidentally have been left open in a browser tab. This limit does not apply to faculty.
Voting Rights & Election Law features thousands of titles on the electoral process: how elections are conducted, how votes are counted, how political campaigns are run and funded, and who is allowed to vote. Featuring content on historical and more recent elections, this database allows users to understand both how our current electoral system came to be as well as the context for proposals for changes. Editors assigned each title in the collection one or more unique title-level subjects. These subjects are: Absentee Voting, Ballots, Campaign Finance, Election Administration, Election Integrity, Election Outcomes, Election Reform, Electoral College, Federal Election Commission, Gerrymandering, Legislative Redistricting, Political Campaigns, Suffrage, Voter Identification, Voter Registration, and Voting Rights.
