Hello everyone,

I'm struggling with this issue since February when I got my new GPU the FPS with these settings I'm getting are around 180 max (FPS locked to 240) at 1080p, with drops to 60 on a regular solo game, but when I'm on the last zones of the game the FPS drops are much more often and worse getting me to 20 FPS. I also have 4 monitors which I don't think a it's the problem because I unplugged them all and the FPS were the same. Now with epic settings, I'm getting LITERALLY the same FPS like the low settings I'm using, I remember using my GTX 980Ti with low and epic settings with more FPS. My brother has a PC with an i9-9900K and an RTX 2060 and gets over 400 FPS easily. Besides Fortnite, I get around 120 FPS on Normal Settings on GTA V Singleplayer and 60 FPS on online. I'm really disappointed with my PC, I paid so much for it and I'm not getting what I paid for...

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-7800X @ 4.0Ghz
GPU: MSI GeForce® RTX 2080 SUPER SEA HAWK EK X
MOBO: MSI X299 Tomahawk Arctic
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 32GB DDR4-3200MHz (4x8GB)
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 850W Gold
NVME (where Fortnite is installed): XPG Gammix S11 Pro 1TB

CPU usage/temp: ~55% / ~45C
GPU usage/temp: ~35% / ~40C

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Will your rig maintain at least 3500-3600 MHz across all cores (monitor temps/clockspeeds via HWMonitor) for 20 minutes in CPU-Z/bench/stress CPU? Your CPU-temps of only 45C are so low , I'd suspect perhaps lower than normal clock speeds of perhaps 800-1000 MHz, as if issues with stuck in Economy Mode power plan, and/or botched chipset drivers...

I stressed my CPU with AIDA64, all cores were at 4000 Mhz and max temp was ~50C at 100%. I have a custom loop thats why I have low temps. https://prnt.sc/to4tjo

Do you have this issue in other games? Because I guess it's caused by a Fortnite update, happens all the time with that game

Yes, I have this issue with other games like GTA, COD and Valorant but it's mostly Fortnite. And no, nothing changed with my FPS because of a Fortnite update, every update I have the same FPS and drops.

Did you try to reinstall the GPU driver by cleaning it with DDU?

No. I never tried doing that. I installed Windows again in May, but everything was still the same.
