If your home office is hopping and you frequently find yourself sharing desk space and even your computer with coworkers, clients, and family, you may want to take a cue from today's featured office and split the space.
Lifehacker reader bstone01 opted, after trial and error, to set up his office to easily accommodate an extra party or two:
After years of working at home and trying different spaces, furniture, set ups, etc. I settled on a dual work station set up. This allows me the flexibility to have co-workers, family, friends, etc share my space when necessary.
The layout of the desks, in addition to providing an entirely separate computer and workstation, also provide a great way to hide cable clutter—all the cables are routed through the space between the two desks. A scanner with a feed tray helps keep paper clutter under control, leaving the spacious desks for better use than holding up piles of yet-to-be sorted paperwork. Check out the pictures below to get a better view of his office, including a nice top-down shot of the workspaces side by side.
If you have a workspace of your own to show off, throw the pictures on your Flickr account and add it to the Lifehacker Workspace Show and Tell Pool. Include some details about your setup and why it works for you, and you just might see it featured on the front page of Lifehacker.
