We are walking, biking, and rolling in Kingston!
Our purpose
The folks that make up the Travel Well Focus Team educate about traffic safety, improve active transportation experiences, and encourage walking and cycling by implementing policy, environmental, and systems change, and programming.
What we are doing
Examples of current projects are:
Travel Well coordinates projects with partners from the City of Kingston, Ulster County, the Complete Streets Advisory Council, The YMCA of Kingston and Ulster’s Bicycle Programs, advocates, and the community.
The Kingston Complete Streets Advisory Council is charged with advising the City on ways Kingston can implement Complete Streets principles in its planning, design and construction activities.

The Kingston Greenline is a network of trails and complete streets in the City of Kingston with connections to the O&W Rail Trail, the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail and the Empire State Rail Trail.

The YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County offers a variety of bicycle programs including bicycle repair, donations, and education. The main fundraiser of the programs is the annual Tour de Kingston.
