Turkey sits between Greece on the west and Iran on the East
This is a country that has been home to many different cultures. Greeks, Jews, Armenians and Kurds lived in parts of the Ottoman empire that eventually became Turkey. Western Turkey is more European while the east feels like the Middle East with tradition, religion and repression of women very evident. The country is famous for its architecture, cuisine, and famous rug industry.
