Lowcountry Food Bank is committed to alleviating hunger in South Carolina. If you or a loved one needs food, we can help. We work with 240+ partner agencies across our 10-county service area to support individuals and families in our community. Food is available to all who need it. Lowcountry Food Bank unites our community in pursuit of equitable, dignified, and consistent access to food in the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina. Together, our network of 240+ community partners provides more than 35 million meals annually to FEED our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. We ADVOCATE at the local, state, and national levels for policies and programs that support access to nutritious food and address the root causes of poverty. We EMPOWER our community through education and access to the food they need to thrive.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

CSFP is a USDA nutrition program that offers FREE monthly nutrition information and food. Residents of Charleston, Beaufort, Berkeley, Dorchester, Georgetown, Horry or Williamsburg counties who are 60 or older and meet the income guidelines created by USDA can apply.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program) helps millions of individuals and families in the United States afford food. Apply today to stretch your grocery budget with SNAP!

Visit the Lowcountry Community Resources Map* to locate additional, essential services such as housing, medical, legal, financial, and housing assistance. Resources are currently available for neighbors in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. Additional counties will be added with updates!
