Mallow's mother

Mallow's mother is a character of the day who appeared in Memories in the Mist!. She is the mother of Mallow and Ulu, and the wife of Abe. Prior to Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, she passed away due to an unspecified illness while Mallow was still little.

She first appeared in a flashback of her and Mallow going for a walk in a forest located behind the Pokémon School. During their walk, they encountered a Bounsweet that she caught and gave to Mallow for her to keep so that she wouldn't be lonely. She was also shown repeatedly apologizing to Mallow for her condition; this eventually frustrated Mallow and caused her to have an angry outburst towards her mother before leaving, which turned out to be their final conversation before her death.

She later appeared as an apparition created from Tapu Fini's mist. She reunited and reconciled with her daughter as they exchanged their gratitude for each other.

Shaymin with eyes similar to Mallow's mother's eyes

• Dub closed captions refer to her as Mallow's mother.
• In Thank You, Alola! The Journey Continues!, when the Shaymin that Mallow had befriended changed into its Sky Forme, its eyes were notably different to a regular Sky Forme Shaymin's eyes, instead resembling those of Mallow's mother.
