Description | This mysterious Trainer with a soft demeanor trains on Iron Island in the Sinnoh region. Through his aura powers, he is able to sense the emotions of others. |
Riley (Japanese: ゲン Gen) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. He forms a sync pair with Lucario, which is capable of Dynamaxing. This pair can be obtained through a special sync pair event beginning on February 19, 2024. This pair can be raised to 6★ EX since it first released.

- Riley & Lucario are the first sync pair with the Sprint role to be made obtainable outside of the sync pair scout.
- They are also the first sync pair with an EX role to be made obtainable outside of the sync pair scout.
- All versions of Riley use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon). Those Trainers include Roark, Cheryl, and Marley.
Origin
Riley's design is based on his appearance in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl. Lucario is Riley's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Lucario's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
