Battle Rules: You may not have duplicate Pokémon or duplicate held items. The item Soul Dew and the move Sky Drop are banned. Legendary or mythical Pokémon may not participate, either. For these battles, all Pokémon will be set to Level 50. Tournament: Type Expert Tournament is a tournament in which only Pokémon of a specific type can participate.

Trivia

• Falkner's Aerodactyl, Winona's Altaria, and Skyla's Archeops know Earthquake, even though it will always fail against the player's Pokémon in this tournament due to them being limited to using Flying types, unless they use a move or Ability to change their type mid-battle (only strategic reason to doing so is the move Roost), hold a Ring Target or Iron Ball, or use the move Gravity.
  • In addition, Winona's Skarmory knows Spikes, even though it cannot affect the player's Pokémon in this tournament unless they hold an Iron Ball or are switched in during the effect of another Pokémon's Gravity.
