The NSE Nifty50 index ended 98.11 points at 23742.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 368.4 points at 78507.41.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 3.23%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.5%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.66%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.65%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.32%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.23%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.04%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 1.03%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.03%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.01%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
