The announcement was made by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at a press conference in New Delhi. "Congress will fulfil its five guarantees if it will be elected to power in Delhi," he said.
Delhi Polls: Previous Congress promises
Congress had earlier announced a new initiative titled 'Yuva Udaan Yojana'. The scheme promises to provide unemployed youth in the national capital with a monthly apprenticeship stipend of Rs 8,500 for one year. Participants will be placed in local industries, where they will gain hands-on experience while earning the stipend.Rajasthan Deputy CM Sachin Pilot, while announcing the scheme, emphasised that Yuva Udaan Yojana is not a "freebie" but a structured program designed to give educated but unemployed youth a foothold in the workforce. The party assured that if some youth are unable to secure placements, the Delhi government will step in to ensure they receive the stipend.
On January 6, Congress unveiled its 'Pyaari Didi Yojana', offering a monthly financial aid of Rs 2,500 to women if the party wins power. Two days later, on January 8, the party introduced its 'Jeevan Raksha Yojana', promising free health insurance coverage of up to Rs 25 lakh. In addition, Congress pledged to provide Rs 8,500 each month for one year to educated unemployed youth in Delhi.

The Delhi Assembly elections for the 70-member legislature are scheduled for February 5, with the results to be announced on February 8.

"The people of Delhi are going to elect a new government on February 5... We are going to present some guarantees for the people of Delhi. Today, our party has decided that we will provide Rs 8,500 per month to the youths of Delhi who are educated but unemployed for a period of 1 year. This is not just financial help. We will try to get them absorbed in the industry in which they have been trained," AICC general secretary Sachin Pilot had said while announcing the scheme.
