Maidenhead Heritage Centre and RBWM Museums & Libraries have pooled their collections of historical maps of Maidenhead to bring you the most comprehensive set available online anywhere. 500 detailed maps of Maidenhead, including Ordnance Survey plans for 1875, 1898, 1911, 1930 and 1950. The side-by-side map displays historical maps and satellite imagery on the left and contemporary maps on the right. Approximately 90% of the historical maps can be reached through this viewer.
Supported actions:

- Zoom in-and-out using the buttons, mouse-wheel or two fingers on a handheld device
- Drag the map with a mouse or two fingers on a tablet.

The project to provide historical maps of Maidenhead online was supported by a grant from South-East Museums Development Fund. The grant paid for professional scanning of large-format sheets.
