 Parallel Programming with MPI/OpenMP
This 6-day online course starts at the beginner level but also covers advanced features of the current OpenMP and MPI standards. It will include hands-on exercises in C, Fortran, and Python. The course is intended for people with some programming experience. Organized by the High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS)
 OpenMP Programming Workshop
This 3-day workshop will cover a wide range of topics, reaching from the basics of OpenMP programming using the OpenMP "Common Core" to really advanced topics. Each day the lectures will be mixed with hands-on sessions. Organized by the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre.

New Book on Programming GPUs with OpenMP
 A book with best practices on writing performance-portable programs for GPUs with OpenMP will be released next November, in time for SC23. This guide is written in a tutorial style that embraces active learning. The authors are Tom Deakin and Tim Mattson, and it has been praised by Jack Dongarra, Michael Klemm, and Barbara Chapman.
The book can be pre-ordered from MIT Press starting on August 7 and will be one of the books available in OpenMP’s book drawing at SC23. |

 Large Synoptic Survey Telescope
OpenMP was used to accelerate the simulation of galactic images for testing the image processing pipeline of the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST).
 Realtime automotive data processing
OpenMP was used to accelerate AMALTHEA to process the automotive data as quickly as possible during driving. This framework is compatible with the Automotive Open System Architecture (AUTOSAR).
