OpenMP Offloading for VASP application

The ECP/OpenMP Users Monthly Telecon will be held next Friday, 26 January. The guest speaker will be Mahdieh Ghazirmirsaeed and she will give a presentation on "OpenMP Offloading for the Vienna Ab-initio Simulation Package (VASP) using the Cray Compiler."

LLVM Introduces JIT Support for OpenMP Offloading

LLVM's GPU/device offloading support has now added basic JIT (Just In Time) compilation support to its OpenMP offloading capabilities. This allows users to re-compile and re-run on demand only certain parts of the applications, and thus saves them time.

Shared memory parallelization with OpenMP

This online workshop focuses on shared memory parallelization with OpenMP for dual-core, multi-core, shared memory, and ccNUMA platforms. Hands-on sessions are included every day. This online workshop is organized by the Vienna Scientific Cluster (VSC).

Participate in the ENCCS GPU Hackathon

The EuroCC National Competence Centre Sweden (ENCCS) is organizing a GPU hackathon on March 14-16 where teams can port their code to run on AMD Instinct GPUs using a GPU framework like OpenMP.

The first day of the hackathon, 7 March, will be online while the main work will be hosted on-site at the KTH Campus at RISE on Drottning Kristinas väg 61, 114 28 in Stockholm, Sweden on 14-16 March.

Teams should have at least two members who are prepared to work full time on their projects for the duration of the hackathon.
