OpenMP ARB Releases API version 5.2
The OpenMP Architecture Review Board has released Version 5.2 of the OpenMP API. This version includes several improvements and refinements:
- Simplified use of target directives
- Extended support for user-defined mappers
- Improved memory allocators
- Improved use of Fortran PURE procedures
- Improved use of the scope construct
- Refined syntax of OpenMP directives

New Member: Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre joins the OpenMP ARB
The Australian Pawsey Centre is a world-class high-performance computing facility, which is currently serving over 40 organizations. Ugo Varetto, Pawsey's CTO, explains that they are joining the OpenMP ARB intending to contribute to the development of the standard. The OpenMP ARB is proud to see the membership growing around the globe, says Michael Klemm, OpenMP ARB CEO.
