No time for the deli… picked up these quick cheese
leave the cheese out on counter for about 15min or so before making
BREAD IS KEY
If you can not pop by the bakery and grab some FRESH bread, this will do. We prefer THICK bread for our grilled cheeses.
SIDE NOTE – After you make the grilled cheese sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on one side… it is AMAZING!!!!
CHEESE PLEASE
Sometimes there is NO time to stand at the deli or order from the deli. In a pinch… these cheese are amazing together. Pepper Jack, Mild Cheddar and Havarti blend well together!
Pull out your cheeses about 15 to 20 minutes before you plan on making the grilled cheese. Let the cheese get to room temp. This will help the cheese melt at the same rate the bread is being grilled.
We pull out the amount of cheese we need and place on the cutting board. Put the rest of the cheese back into the fridge.
Line up your cheeses, stack and distribute evenly on top of the breads.
Pepper Jack goes first.
Cheddar Cheese is in the middle.
Havarti gets placed on top.
Place the top bread on top.
PRE HEAT THE PAN NOW
SECRET INGREDIENT
Stumbled upon this can of goodness and it was a game changer! No butter needed in the pan or the bread. Spray some in the pan and on the bread.
You can see the avocado oil on the bread – it kind of drizzles out of the can.
Place the un-grilled grilled cheese in the pan, avocado oil spray side down.
Spray the top bread with the avocado spray.
Sprinkle with Mediterranean Citrus Spice
Flip the bread and sprinkle with spice on the other side as well.
Low to low medium heat – cook longer and slower for a more even crisp and evenly melted cheeses.
Remove from the pan when you have reached your desired crispiness.
Let them rest for a minute BEFORE cutting into them.
Look at that… cheesy BUT not drippy…. PERFECT!
