*When making this Frankenstein craft with younger children you can prep and cut out all of the shapes ahead of time. Then you can instruct children on how to glue the pieces together to make Frankenstein.

*When making this craft with older children ( most likely kindergarten age and up) you can instruct them on the shapes and sizes that they will need to cut out and they can do it on their own. You could also draw an outline or lines for the children to cut out if needed.

*This paper craft is the perfect way to practice shape and color recognition skills. It focuses on the basic shapes of rectangles, squares, and ovals. As you’re making this fun craft talk about the different shapes and recognize that they may differ in size.

*This craft can be made with construction paper or colored cardstock. Cardstock will make it more durable.

Easy Frankenstein Craft for Preschool and Kindergarten

Halloween Frankenstein Craft

Materials:

  • Green, brown, and black construction paper or cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Black marker or crayons

Directions:

  1. Cut out a large green rectangle for Frankenstein’s head.
  2. Cut out a black rectangle that is about 2″ wide and the same length as your green Frankenstein head rectangle. Cut small triangles out of the bottom of the black rectangle to create a zig-zag line for Frankenstein’s hair.
  3. Glue your black Frankenstein hair to the very top of the green rectangle.
  4. Cut out two smaller brown rectangles. Glue one to each side of the bottom of Frankenstein’s head.
  5. Cut out two small brown squares that are slightly wider than the rectangles. Glue them to each of the ends of the brown rectangles.
  6. Using a marker draw on Frankenstein’s mark and scar.
  7. Draw Frankenstein’s eyes with a marker, glue on googly eyes, or cut out and glue on circular eyes.
