Retirement Advice Printable Tips
*When filling out the answers with younger children you may need to describe or teach what retirement means. Younger children may dictate the answers while an adult fills them in. They turn out funniest if you fill in exactly what the children say word for word.
*Older children are able to sound out and fill in the answers on their own. When completing the sheet with multiple children you may want to have them in separate spots from each other. If one says an answer out loud or dictates a certain answer the other one may only be able to think of the same thing.
*When completed you can glue the white printed paper onto a piece of cardstock or construction paper to mount it and make it heavy duty. This will help it last longer. You can then fold it up and slide it in a card, roll it up and tie it with ribbon, tape it to the top of a present, or just hand it to the retiree.
*This would make an awesome gift for a “classroom room parent” to organize for a teacher who is retiring. It would also make a great gift for an art teacher or classroom aide to take up for a classroom teacher that is retiring. Works great for anyone who works with kids or for your own kids to make at home for a relative or friend.
We make these for anyone in our family who is retiring. We made one for Grandma and Grandpa when they retired this past year as well as aunts, uncles, and more. These were well received and family members loved reading them over and laughing at many of the answers. Hearing kids’ viewpoints on what happens during retirement is the fun part.
