Going out of my comfort zone and getting to explore the islands from “climbing” Mount Constitution (we drove up it) to chasing orcas around the San Juan. And especially getting swept up in the confusion of everything with everyone. It was a wild ride and one I wouldn’t trade for the world.”

“My favorite memory was when I saw wild orcas for the first time. We were out conducting a seabird survey aboard the Centennial at Friday Harbor and stumbled upon two killer whales. It was both a thrilling and humbling experience that serves as a constant reminder for why I chose to go into this field.”

Wouldn’t haven’t wanted to end my college experience any other way!”
