Shalyn Sheldon, MSW

Shalyn began her social work career at McCall during a year-long internship before joining Housatonic Youth Service Bureau, where she counseled youth and families in Northwest Connecticut. She later returned to McCall as a Prevention Specialist, focusing on expanding prevention efforts in the region. Shalyn holds a BS in Human Services from Post University and an MSW in Community, Organization, Policy, and Administration from the University of Southern California.  As McCall’s Director of Development and Marketing, she grew the donor base, organized fundraising events, and promoted McCall’s mission through grant writing and marketing. In January 2022, she became Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation, and in July of 2023, advanced to Senior Director of Administration and Accreditation, where she oversees organizational improvement, compliance efforts, and manages the IT needs of the organization.
