Aaron Taylor-Johnson attended the star-studded Kraven The Hunter premiere with his wife Sam Taylor-Johnson, 57, and her daughters in a rare public family outing.
The screen star celebrated his latest Marvel comics movie, where he plays Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis, in style as he rocked up at the New York event dressed in a loosely buttoned satin shirt, a rust velvet blazer and black trousers.
His wife, Back to Black filmmaker Sam, was by his side wearing a matching long sparkly dress and a pair of black heels.
Although Sam and Aaron usually present a united front at flashy film events, in a surprise move, Aaron’s step-daughters – Angelica Jopling, 27, and Jessie Phoenix Jopling, 18 – also showed out in support.
They are from Sam’s previous marriage with art dealer Jay Jopling, whom she divorced in 2008, before marrying a 22-year-old Aaron in 2012 after meeting him on the set of Nowhere Boy a few years earlier.
The couple also share two daughters, Wylda Rae, 13, and Romy Hero, 12.
At the premiere, the James Bond hopeful slung an arm around Jessie – dressed in a floor-length silver dress – as they posed for photos. Meanwhile, Angelica impressed in a dapper suit as she stood by her mum.
The red carpet appearance comes just weeks after Aaron celebrated Jessie’s 18th birthday by sharing sweet photos of him cuddling his stepdaughter and writing ‘still my baby girl’ on Instagram.
The Fall Guy star took up the stepfather role in 2009, when he was around 19 years old, and welcomed his first child with Sam in 2010.
He told People at the time: ‘It’s not scary. I’m already a stepdad to [Angelica and Jessie] anyway. So the nerves have sort of gone.’
The group outing comes as a surprise considering his previous remarks on a private family life.
In 2019, he told Harper’s Bazaar: ‘We live behind walls. Literally, figuratively, and deliberately. You’ll never see our children or any of our most personal moments on social media or in the press.
‘We have our professional lives and our life together, and we keep them apart.’
But he was candid about his early dreams of being a young father in an interview with Esquire in 2023: ‘I was going to have a big family. I knew I was going to be a young father. I knew I was going to have many kids,’ he said.
His relationship with Sam has faced public attention for its 23-year age gap over the years, although the pair rarely address this to the media.
He added to Esquire: ‘I’ve probably talked to you more about my kids and Sam than I have with anybody. I’ve got really nothing to hide, and I’m secure in what we have. But I’m not going to unlock things that are actually precious to me.’
And he appears to be a family man through and through added that his greatest joy is ‘the normality of things, the everyday stuff.’
He continued: ‘Getting my kids ready in the mornings, taking them to school and activities — that’s plenty. That feeds my soul.’
Elsewhere, the actor recently opened up about his intensive process to physically prepare for his action role in Kraven The Hunter.

He recalled on Jimmy Kimmel: ‘It was a pretty strict diet; I couldn’t have any of the good stuff – pizza, pasta, zero alcohol for two years while I made this movie.’
‘I did not have a drop of alcohol for two years when I made this,’ he repeated to a shocked audience.
Before continuing: ‘After filming was done, it was beautiful. I had a whole pizza all to myself and had a lovely draft pulled beer, and it was ice cold, and it was the best thing I ever tasted.’
The Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging actor has plenty of projects on the horizon as well including Robert Eggers Nosferatu and 28 Years Later.
