Satellite Imagery Confirms Destruction at Khanskaya Air Base After Drone Strike

A long-range drone strike on the Khanskaya air base in the Russian Adygeyan Republic destroyed the depot where bombs and missiles were stored.

The satellite image was published on Telegram by the CyberBoroshno channel.

The photo shows the aftermath of a Ukrainian drone attack on an arms depot at the Khanskaya air base.

The satellite recorded the destruction of several warehouse buildings as a result of the detonation of ammunition. Damage to one hangar and signs of fire in the surrounding area are also visible.

The Astra Telegram channel, citing its own sources, reported that during the attack on the Khanskaya airfield in Adygea, one of the drones hit an ammunition depot. This resulted in the detonation of an Kh-31 missile, three Kh-35 missiles, and 15 D-30 UMPB bombs.

In addition, 41 UMPK unified gliding and correction kits were lost, and a UAV struck the runway, causing damage.

UAV attack on a military air base in Adygea

On the night of October 10, attack drones attacked the Russian military airfield Khanskaya in the Republic of Adygea.

After reports of explosions, NASA’s satellite fire monitoring system detected a fire in the area of the Russian airfield.

This air base of the aggressor state is located about 400 kilometers from the front line in eastern Ukraine. It is used, in particular, for deploying Su-34 bombers that carry out strikes with precision-guided bombs.

On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on the airfield. And reported that the mission was carried out by the forces and means of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On October 10, the Telegram channel of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine published a video showing the launch of the Beaver UAV and footage of the aftermath of the attack on Khanskaya air base.

As previously reported, the Borysoglebsk air base in the Voronezh region of Russia was attacked in early October 2024.
