My little... Monkey Mane 6? |v9: Dashing Monkey!

This thread is focused around my Pony and Monkey cross styled MLP: FIM Pony Monkeys... or something like thatAnyhow, Part Pony, Part Monkey

 

This is one of the few projects recently based just on having some fun creating something (random). And it has also been one of the few I have been so dedicated to. (Involving MLP does help alot)

 

I even made a little modified version of the MLP logo (with all respect to Hasbro)

Might be difficult to climb trees without fingers...

Other than that, maybe think about adding some headhair (even if it is just as an outline).

I agree the missing mane looks kind of weird with such a smooth head , been in my mind while making it.

I'll have to try out some more things and see if I can fix that up

Big step for me. My first Mane 6 Manekey 6 version.

Starting out with Applejack

 

I have updated the thread for this, added her to the OP.

 

My first plan was to create all 6 of them simultaneous, but that would take a lot longer at my current rate.

Well, if I recall correctly, in "Sweet and Elite" when the rest of the Mane 6 showed up in Canterlot to celebrate Twilight's birthday, they were all in the Royal Ballroom when Rarity made a monkey noise. Her pupils contracted at the same time...

I went bit too much experimental after Applejack with Rarity, but glad to hear I got bit more on track with Fluttershy.

 

Haven't really considered dA groups yet. I think the amount of groups seemed intimidating at glance, but I'll definitely sit down sometime and take a look at them. They seem useful.

Thanks for the compliment. Having done a Game Artist education did help me motivate and spend time on getting better

And besides monkeys, plenty of other things to like... like uhm... uhm *looks around*. It's on the tip of my tongue

I have had a quick thought about it, but never really tried it out.

But now you mentioned it I just couldn't resist to do this quick little sketch

 

I guess I did it because hooves are easier to make and the shapes are fun and interesting.

Her hair... didn't quite work out with round monkey faces, but it's still enough "twilight"

 

It has been a long while since I worked on a personal project just for the fun of it. (and one I can show publicly )

Work within some boundaries of MLP with some twists of my own, great fun exploring and experimenting with it.

 

... I do always seem to end up finishing them like 4 in the morning

So finally my next update (or well, it took longer to start this one than the previous ones)

 

Update 8: The Party Monkey!

 

I was already thinking about doing Pinkie Pie first instead of Rainbow Dash (Sorry Rainbow )

And now I actually did it, time for a Party with Pinkie Pie Monkey style.

I really want to finish the mane 6 (first before even starting other things I have on my mind)

I admit I work kind of at a high speed with these, taking me around 3 hours each.
