“Calling all super readers….” For any Super Why fan, that is a familiar statement and that is exactly what the Super Why ABC Letter Game does, it calls your Super Reader to come complete fun tasks that encourages them to use their reading skills.
Here are the details about the Super Why ABC Letter Game:
Players practice key reading skills by taking on the powers of the Super Why team! The board and skill-based character cards help children build reading skills by identifying letters, rhyming, correcting silly sentences and learning how to read basic words.

Wonder Red with Word Power: Players read the words or look at the pictures on the card and say another word or words that rhyme.
Princess Presto with Spelling Power: Players say the word pictured on the card, then point to the first letter or fist two letters of that word on the center of the board.
Super Why with the Power to Read: Players point to the word on the board that should replace the underlined word on the card to make the silly sentence make sense.
For 2 to 4 players, ages 3 and up.
Contents: game board, 4 playing pieces, spinner card, 110 question cards and instructions.
The game is rated for ages 3 and up and I played the game with my 5 year old. My little one loves Super Why and really had a lot of fun playing this game. Of course her favorite character is Princess Presto, so she loved being Princess Presto for the game.
My little one does know how to read quite a bit, but she never wants to read to me. A familiar story for many families with young ones. They love to claim that they cannot read and would rather sit back and have a book read to them. What I truly love about the Super Why ABC game is that she was reading to me as she completed the tasks for the game, without even realizing that she was reading to me! It gave me the opportunity to see how she is doing with her reading skills.
The Super Why ABC game taps into letter recognition, word recognition, rhyming and word replacement. It provides a fun and entertaining way to increase reading skills and spelling ability. This game is not just a “recognize your letters game,” as the title might suggest. The game challenges your little one to sound out and spell words, to think of rhyming words and other tasks.
