It’s almost here! The Spring Festival in Marvel Rivals starts on January 23, and the players got a sneak peek at what to expect in a new trailer. It seems that this game just keeps getting better. Let’s see what lies ahead.
The Devs Announced the Spring Festival and Shared a Trailer
On January 21, the official Marvel Rivals account on X shared the details about the upcoming Spring Festival. The announcement read: “HERE COME THE DANCING LIONS! AND THEIR CLASH! Marvel Rivals is welcoming the joyous Spring Festival, and you’re invited to join the celebration”.
This post also reveals what awaits: “New Limited-Time Game Mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. A Gallery Card Customization Event – Fortune & Colors. Unique Rewards to Claim, Including Star-Lord’s Free Costume, Nameplate, and Much More”.
The Spring Festival starts on January 23, at 1 am (PST). The devs added: “May the golden lion’s mane guide your fortune and bring you strength this season. Join the celebration now and let the magic of the Spring Festival unfold!”
As if this weren’t enough, the trailer for the Spring Festival was attached alongside the announcement. Now, we’ve seen lots of trailers in our lifetime, but this one takes the cake. The vibrant colors, the aesthetics, and the obvious effort that was put into this simply blew us away.
Marvel Rivals Players Can’t Wait for the Festivities
Obviously, Marvel Rivals players were head over heels for the Spring Festival once they saw the trailer. Players gladly praised the developers for putting in effort and paying attention to details.
One player, -DR34D-, noted: “This is what keeps games alive. These little things. We had the chill event of playing a mini Jeff Splatoon game and now a mini Soccer event”. Many players were quite keen on trying their luck in this event.
Of course, some fans appreciated the devs’ efforts when it came to new designs. Perfume_Girl stated: “As an Asian kid it brings memories of childhood waking up early and counting the red envelopes and lining up on the streets with other kids waiting for the lion parade to make its way down the street. It’s a huge part of our year and brings prosperity and good fortune”.
