Welcome to Newlands Farm
Newlands is a 3 generation family run suckler beef farm with free-range chickens, geese, ducks, pigs & sheep.
The farm shop is stocked with locally produced and sourced goods including home reared meat! The cafe opened in October 2023, serving Breakfast, Lunch, Coffee & Cake Wednesday to Sunday!
Stay in your motorhome or caravan for £20per night, 5 serviced grass pitches, 16-amp electric hook-up, water and drainage. Families and well behaved dogs are very welcome!
Located at Newlands Farm on Common Lane in the village of Keinton Mandeville, Somerset, a 9 minute drive from Podimore roundabout off the A303. Take the A37 to TA11 6EW.
Our Story
Chris & Diane purchased the farm and its land in 1988, they then purchased their first Simmental cows and started a suckler herd which remains to this day. A first generation farmer Chris and Diane have developed and grown the farm and their family. 3 generations now live on the farm and help out.
Chris & Diane have 2 daughters Sarah & Kate and 6 grand daughters which keep them very busy.
Sarah & Steve returned to the farm in 2001 with their eldest daughter Lucy, then along came Isobelle and Daisy to complete the Cooke family. We all settled into country life remaining on the farm. Kate and her daughters Elsie, Poppy and Kitty returned to the farm in 2015. Kate & Elsie create speciality cakes for all occasions.
2018 saw the creation of the egg shed, a little shed at the end of our farm track selling our free range eggs, demand proved high during covid 19 and we were able to produce and source home made cakes, jams, breads, flapjacks, fruit, vegetables and logs. Demand grew so the idea came to have a larger Farm shop with a cafe where more people could come and eat locally produced foods but also purchase locally grown produce.
