Dalton police seek suspect in early morning hit-and-run on Chattanooga Avenue

Investigators with the Dalton Police Department (DPD) say they are looking for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash Sunday morning.

DPD tells says the crash happened around 3 AM on Chattanooga Avenue in the area of Matilda Street and involved a pedestrian.

Investigators added that the vehicle involved left the scene of the crash and failed to call 911 or notify local authorities.

The vehicle involved is possibly white in color, according to DPD, and has damage located around the driver's side headlight.

Right now, it's not clear how serious that pedestrian's injuries are.
