Hello! Welcome. I am an artist, designer, author and book dealer who believes in magic. Ten years ago my husband and I bought a quirky fixer upper castle in the woods which has managed to both elate and frustrate us. This tmblr is about that journey. All pictures are mine unless otherwise stated. We call the castle, Ravensrook.
The cottage gardens surrounding our home are a labor of love and an ongoing project. We are always expanding, improving, and trying new plants.
My husband and I purchased our fixer-upper in the Hudson Valley in 2013. The castle can be booked for filming and events. Contact us for more information.
The castle sits on a ridge and is surrounded by twelve acres of protected woodland. The forest is teeming with wildlife and many native species. Every season has its charms.
The inscription reads: There is no fireside like your own fireside.
We’re also plowing our neighbor’s place. After he got done building one castle, of course he had to build another one! Looks magical in the snow.

I just launched my first Kickstarter campaign for my epic fantasy novel The Unseen Hand. The Unseen Hand is bound in black cloth with gilt titles on the spine and a full color embossed dust jacket. The book has been designed by me and illustrated by fantasy artist Agata Fiszer. The first edition is limited to 1,000 hand-numbered copies.

Whew, just finished painting two book covers for my epic fantasy trilogy. Super happy with the way these came out.
I love the way the story book lights look at night. This was a good addition to the exterior.
