Because we are farmer-owned, all of our earnings go back to our farmer owners. This means that when people buy our products the money is split between each unit of produce (patronage) that our members supply. That’s also a key part of our cooperative philosophy.
Northern Farmers Mega FPO(NFMF) is an umbrella Organization of Farmer collectives such as Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs/FPCs), Farmer Cooperatives, Self Help Groups, Kisan Clubs & Progressive Farmers in Punjab, Haryana, HP & nearby areas of UP, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand. The primary operations of NFMF include the aggregation of agricultural inputs, implementing quality assurance programs, establishing market linkages, conducting wholesale and retail operations, engaging with industries, creating backend infrastructure, facilitating contract farming, and advocating for policies related to agriculture.
Our mission is to unite producers in a cooperative spirit to enhance their economic, social, and environmental well-being. We are dedicated to fostering a democratic organization where members have a collective voice and equitable access to resources, markets, and knowledge.
Empowering Farmers, Enriching Communities and creating a resilient and flourishing future for generations to come.
Enhancing the market access for members' products and collectively bargaining for better prices, terms, and conditions with buyers.
Achieving economies of scale by pooling resources, sharing costs, and collectively investing in technology, equipment, or infrastructure to improve overall efficiency in production and distribution.
Helping members manage and mitigate risks associated with agriculture, processing and marketing by sharing information, resources, and implementing risk management strategies.
Ensuring that members adhere to high-quality standards and certifications, thereby improving the overall reputation and marketability of their products.
Facilitating access to critical resources such as credit, inputs, technology, and training, which might be challenging for individual producers to acquire independently.
Promoting a culture of knowledge-sharing among members, providing training programs, exposure visits, and fostering a collaborative environment to enhance skills and capabilities.
Contributing to the overall development of the community by creating employment opportunities, supporting local infrastructure projects, and addressing social issues relevant to the members.
Working towards maximizing the profits of individual members by optimizing production, reducing costs, and improving market opportunities.
Encouraging and implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly and fair trade practices in production and distribution processes, aligning with the principles of responsible and ethical business.
Operating on democratic principles, where members have an equal say in decision-making processes, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability among the cooperative's members.
