Priority based budget reductions: The district shared the priority based budget reduction information with families on March 5. You can read the message and view the priority budget reduction recommendations here.

Outstanding teaching and learning occurs at all levels and schools. We lead in the number of National Merit Scholarship participants each year and academic assessments show that students enrolled at Northfield Public Schools score above the state average in nearly all areas.
The implementation of the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model demonstrates staff commitment to ongoing improvement. Each school also has a School Improvement Plan (SIP) specific to addressing new needs.
The Compañeros program is a Spanish immersion option for elementary school students. The English Learners program assists students who speak English as a second language, giving them the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.
Tackling Obstacles, Raising College Hopes (TORCH) is designed to improve Northfield graduation rates and the chances of postsecondary enrollment. Dual credit options are available for high schoolers who want to begin earning college credit.
Counselors are dedicated to student academic, social and emotional wellbeing. Accommodations are made for those requiring help in the traditional classroom setting, and special ed services are tailored to the individual needs of each learner.
